Frequently Asked Questions

WHY SHOULD I HIRE A SCRIPT CONSULTANT?

Breaking through in today's market requires more than just talent. It requires strategic insight from someone who understands the industry inside and out. My track record speaks for itself, from global streaming successes to partnerships with Academy Award-winners and tastemakers. With two decades of story development and production experience, I offer direct access to proven Hollywood expertise. No intermediaries. Working with me, you'll get the same strategic insight that has helped nurture projects from conception to screen.

WHY is the 30-MIN CONSULTATION required?

True creativity is sparked through conversation and connection. This 30-minute session lets us explore not just your vision and goals, but helps to determine if we're the right fit to take your story to the next level. The strongest projects emerge from solid creative partnerships. Who knows, you may decide I’m not the right fit and that’s okay too!

WHAT ARE The NEXT STEPS?

Upon completion of the consultation, you'll complete two standard industry documents:

  1. submission release form

  2. services contract

This ensures clear expectations and provides necessary legal protection. You'll submit these signed documents alongside a PDF of your creative material (script, pilot, treatment, or pitch). Then we’re off!

BUT WHY DO I NEED A SUBMISSION RELEASE FORM AND SERVICES CONTRACT?

These standard industry documents protect both of us and set clear expectations for our creative partnership. The submission release is particularly crucial when accepting creative material directly from writers, ensuring proper copyright protection for everyone involved. Every major studio, production company, and agency requires these safeguards.

what’s the timeline for FEEDBACK?

Our consultation will be booked within two weeks of document submission. This gives me time to read and thoughtfully access your material. Written creative notes, if requested, will be provided one week later and are yours to keep.

WHAT FORMAT do you ACCEPT FOR CREATIVE FILES?

PDF only. No hard copies will be accepted. It’s not 2005; let’s save trees!

WHAT TYPES OF CREATIVE MATERIALS DO YOU ACCEPT?

The whole kit and kaboodle: film scripts, treatments, pitches; TV pilots, pilot treatments, bibles, pitches; visual pitch decks for both film and TV.

If you just want feedback on which ideas to pursue, we can book a session where I advise you on the most likely concept(s) pertaining to your goals.

What payment do you accept?

Payments will be accepted via Venmo, Zelle or Waymo (international clients).

Advance payment is required for all services. Your initial consultation ($50) will be scheduled upon receipt of payment. If we proceed, you will submit full payment for the designated plan along with your signed documents and creative materials (PDF format). All services are non-refundable; unfortunately, I am not Nordstrom.

are meetings in PERSON OR VIRTUALLY?

All meetings will be virtual only. This way, we can work together wherever you are in the world!

DO YOU WORK ON INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS?

Absolutely! I have experience working all over the globe and I love working in different countries and regions. I also believe there is such amazing talent all over the world that could succeed in Hollywood. I’d love to help.

DO you accept projects not in english?

Sadly, I am only fluent in English. I can read some in Spanish, but to provide you my absolute best, all projects must be submitted in English. If there becomes an increase interest from non-English speakers, I will consider adding a translation fee to directly help you.

what if I want to continue our collaboration?

Great! Submit additional scripts, pitches, or rewrites at any time. Each will have its own submission release form and services contract. Multiple projects can be developed simultaneously. If you choose 3 or more services at once, I can offer a 15% discount. Otherwise, you can pay as you go.

I DON’T LIKE THE FEEDBACK. Now what?

Creative development thrives on different perspectives; that's the nature of storytelling. Each note offers a pathway to possibility rather than a mandate, designed to spark dialogue and unlock your story's potential. It’s up to you how to take action. While services are non-refundable due to the subjective nature of creative work, expect nothing but honest, actionable insights to elevate your vision.

is MY SCRIPT CONFIDENTIAL?

All creative materials are treated with complete confidentiality. No script, treatment, or project details will be shared, duplicated, or distributed without explicit advance permission.
